Dragons are on the move in Ballydehob!
Residents of Ballydehob may have been surprised to see a huge dragon slowly lumbering down their high Street recently, but the twelve foot high willow dragon sculpture was on a trailer, and was the first work to be installed on The Sculpture Trail, at An Sanctoir, Ballydehob.
The Sculpture Trail is a 12-month project by local artist Wendy Miles, the actual making of the trail being part of the art work itself. The artist, who has never made a path before, has cut through blackthorn thickets and bramble tangles to create a trail through the 30 acre nature reserve of An Sanctoir.
