Lucey notes Bantry literary event's huge impact on the local economy

One day after the stellar closing performance of what was the biggest and best-selling West Cork Chamber Music Festival ever the organisers, West Cork Music, launched the West Cork Literary Festival, an event that has developed into being the single largest annual literary event in the county.

Tim Lucey, the chief executive of Cork County Council, who performed the official opening of the festival on Sunday night said the action-packed seven-day programme is good for tourism and business in Bantry.
