Irish Yogurts was established in 1994 by Diarmuid O'Sullivan with the aim of producing traditional churn made yogurt to be supplied to retail outlets nationwide.

Located in Clonakilty, West Cork, Ireland, and strongly grant aided by the West Cork Enterprise Board, the company's emphasis is on tradition and quality. The concept of Traditional Churn Made Yogurt was a result of market research carried out on prototype products.

Over the past seven years, the company has grown steadily and now employs 70 full time staff. Good communication is an important factor in the company with staff being consistently briefed of weekly developments, such as important new promotional activities. The result is a highly professional operation, with an emphasis on service and quality.

The company is a member of Fuchsia Brands Ltd., denoting a quality product from the West Cork region, and adheres to the HACCP standards governing strict hygiene and quality control in its production methods. The plant at Clonakilty is very modern and complies with EU standards.
