Baltimore: a beacon of light with plenty of reasons to shine
'Because I'm happy...' And they certainly are happy, in Baltimore that is. The 'Happy in Baltimore' video, which has already been watched on YouTube more than 60,000 times, perfectly captures the community spirit of this West Cork village. The video was filmed just hours after the terrible storms in February, but nevertheless the determined locals dressed for the weather and turned out to dance.
It seems the community have been turning out in large numbers recently, not just to dance, but to take part in the various community projects happening in the village. With the tourist season in full swing, the village is experiencing its busiest time of year, and as any town or village that depends on tourism knows a good summer
