Jewellery in Lough Hyne

Colin's life in jewellery began in 1972 as an apprentice in Hatton Garden, where a high standard of excellence in all aspects of manufacturing was required.

After his 5 year apprenticeship he worked in various workshops, gaining invaluable experience, honing the many different skills and techniques involved in the process of jewellery making. In 1989 he was invited to join the team of craftsmen working at H A Jordan of Bond Street, 'the spiritual home of fine art and excellence'. He describes the workshop as "Victorian in both appearance, and attitude to the production of fine jewellery. They were reproducing Georgian, Victorian, and Art Deco piece's, alongside the latest contemporary designs with equal dexterity. Working there under the master craftsmen at Jordan’s was an invaluable experience" 

Colin moved to West Cork in 2005, where he specialises in bespoke commissions. Lately he has been developing a small range if silver jewellery, ‘The Lough Hyne Collection’, inspired by the magical beauty to be seen in the environs of Lough Hyne.
